17.2 ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION


17.2.1 Bachelor Degree in any discipline recognized by the University/Institute or

equivalent with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidate) and Kashmiri

Migrants & Kashmiri Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living

in Kashmir valley.


17.2.2 While applying for admission, the candidate should read the General Conditions

for Admission at para 1.14.

Note :


(i)

All the candidates appearing as Supplementary / Compartment in qualifying

examinations for the session 2019-20 are eligible to appear in Entrance Test but

their final results must be declared on or before the last date of Registration.


(ii)

Candidates should note that no “call letter” for the Entrance Test shall be sent to

them by Post. They should download the admit card Online after filling up the

Online Admission Form.


(iii)

Admission to physically challenged candidates of any category is not permissible.


17.3 ADMISSION PROCEDURE


17.3.1 Admission shall be made on merit, on the basis of Marks (Merit) obtained in

the Entrance Test as per the policy of the Institute.

General Knowledge and Reasoning & Numerical

Ability. The duration of test will be of 60 minutes.

17.4 FEE STRUCTURE

Each Student shall pay the fee as given in Annexure-XXVIII.


17.5 COURSE INFORMATION

Duration of the course is 01 year (two-semesters). A candidate must complete the

Course and pass the final examination within two academic years from the first

admission to this programme. Details of Theory Subjects and Practical Skills are as

follows: 


COURSE OVERVIEW :


17.5.1.1 Course Delivery :


x Classes will be conducted online. It includes recorded auto￾graded and peer-reviewed assignments, video lectures, and

community discussion forums.

x Students will receive a shareable electronic course material.


17.5.1.2 Assessment & Evaluation :


x Continuous assessment – Theory, Practical & Internship (Field

Work/Live Project/Case Studies).

x Final Examination – Final Examination will be conducted at the

end of each semester online.


17.5.2 THEORY SUBJECTS :

Introduction to communication Models and Press Laws; Reporting, Writing

and Editing; Foundation of Sports Sciences; Evolution and History of Sports;

Magazine Writing in Sports; Fundamentals of Computer & I.T.; Communication

Skills; Project Work.


17.5.3 PRACTICAL :


Field Work/Live Project/Case studies.


17.5.4 INTERNSHIP :


Internship of 45 days (to submit the report of Internship duly signed by

authorized Supervisor from Institute/Industry).

Note : Students have to bear all expenses on their own for Internship.
