CONDUCT OF SIX-WEEK CERTIFICATE COURSE IN SPORTS COACHING UNDER MASS SPORTS PARTICIPATION PROGRAMME

Certificate Course in Sports Coaching in the following sports disciplines from 20th December 2021 to 10th February 2022

for men and women, both having passion in coaching or working in schools/colleges/universities/industrial

houses and other agencies associated with sports:

1. Archery 2. Athletics 3. Badminton 4. Basketball 5. Boxing 6. Canoeing & Kayaking

7. Cricket 8. Fencing 9. Football 10. Gymnastics 11.Handball 12 Hockey 13.Judo 

14.Kabaddi 15.Kho-Kho 16 Rollball 17. Rowing 18. Softball 19.Shooting 20.Swimming 

21.Taekwondo 22.Table Tennis 23.Lawn Tennis 24..Volleyball 25.Weightlifting 26.Wrestling 27.Wushu

28.Yoga

NOTE: i) Online Theory Classes will be conducted by main Academic Centres of SAI NS NIS, 

 Patiala.

 ii) Practical classes will be conducted on the Centres which will be decided by SAI NSNIS,

 Patiala keeping in view the strength of the classes and COVID-19 restriction guidelines.

 at respective SAI/Non SAI Centres.

 iii) Minimum size of per class will be ranging from 30 to 50 students.

I. APPLICATION FORM:

Application form may be obtained from the office of the Deputy Director (Academics), Sports Authority of India, 

Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Old Moti Bagh, Patiala-147001 or may be downloaded from our 

website www.nsnis.org.

II. FEE PAYABLE

The prescribed fee for the entire duration of the Six-week Certificate Course is Rs.22,400/- which includes 

lodging, boarding and other miscellaneous expenses.

IV. FEE FOR LODGING AND BOARDING WILL BE PAID BY THE CANDIDATE WHEN JOINING PHYSICAL

AT THE CENTRE OF TRAINING.

 Candidates fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria of educational qualification and sports achievement are eligible

to apply. To select the candidates for the course, a merit list will be prepared based on the marks allotted as

mentioned below.

Merit List will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by candidate in Educational Qualification and

Sports Achievement as shown in the above Table.

IV. AGE: 20-42 years as on 07-10-2021

Relaxation in Age: Relaxation in upper age limit up to five years will be given to the candidates

belongs to SC/ST/OBC & Candidates belongs to North-East Region.

VI. PLAYING KIT: The selected candidates will have to bring the following items of

uniform, sports equipment and clothing for their personal use during the

course.

a) Uniform: Candidates have to bring their own Warm-up shoes, Game

shoes, White socks, Vests, T-shirts, Shorts,Track lower/trouser (for female

candidates) and Track-suits, etc.for their personal use.

b) Sports Equipment : The candidates selected for the course will have to bring their

own sports equipments required in the concerned game/sport.

c) Clothing: The candidates selected for the course will have to bring their

own bedding and clothing as per their requirement.

VII. APPLICATION PROCEDURE: The Candidates desire to get admission in Six-week Certificate Course are

required to apply in the prescribed proforma after downloading and enclose

online payment receipt of Rs.1000/- generated through SB Collect. Candidate

may use different mode of payment while using SB Collect such as Debit

Card, Credit Card, Internet banking, SBI Bank Challan and SBI buddy

application.
