ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
Bachelor Degree with minimum 45% marks [40% for SC/ST candidate and Kashmiri Migrants & Kashmiri Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in
Kashmir valley] in any discipline recognized by the University/Institute along with
one-year Post Graduate Diploma/Diploma in Yoga.
OR
B.A./B.Sc. in Yoga with 45% marks [40% for SC/ST candidate and Kashmiri
Migrants & Kashmiri Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in
Kashmir valley].
OR
Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) with Specialization in Yoga along with
minimum 45% marks [40% for SC/ST candidate and Kashmiri Migrants & Kashmiri
Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in Kashmir valley].
Note:
(i) All the candidates appearing as Supplementary / Compartment in qualifying examinations for the session 2019-20 are eligible to appear in Entrance Test but their final results must be declared on or before the last date of Registration.
(ii) Candidates should note that no “call letter” for the Entrance Test shall be sent to them by Post. They should download the admit card Online after filling up the Online Admission Form.
(iii) Admission to physically challenged candidates of any category is not permissible, as candidates of this course are required to perform advance yogic activities.
(iv) While applying for admission, the candidate should read the General Conditions for Admission at para
COURSE INFORMATION
Duration of the course is 2 years (four-semesters). A candidate must complete the course and pass the final examination within four academic years from the first admission to this programme. Details of Theory and Practical are as follows:
Semester-I : Theory & Practical Subjects
Foundations of Yoga; Applied Statistics; Basics of Research
Methodology; Human Anatomy and Physiology-I.
Yoga Practical-I and Yoga Practical-II.
Semester-II : Theory & Practical Subjects
Foundations of Yoga-II; Patanjali Yoga Sutra; Principles and
Practices of Hatha Yoga; Human Anatomy and Physiology-II.
Yoga Practical-III and Teaching Ability-I.
Semester-III : Theory & Practical Subjects
Principles of Psychology and Counselling in Yoga; Yoga Therapy
and Diagnostic Tools; Swasthvritta; Diet and Nutrition; Shrimad
Bhagwad Gita.
Yoga Practical-IV and Teaching Ability-II.
Semester-IV : Theory & Practical Subjects
Human Consciousness in Indian Philosophy; Fundamentals of
Naturopathy; Value Education in Yoga; Dissertation/ Fitness and
Wellness/ Essential of Education and Technology/Correctives and
Rehabilitation.
Yoga Practical (Therapeutic Prescription); Naturopathy Practical;
Internship.
Note :
(i) Admitted candidates have to undergo Internship of 30 days (one month) from any Institute/School/Center/Organization at his/her own cost.
(ii) The subjects mentioned as Optional Paper shall be offered as per administrative feasibility of the Institute.
(iii) No Boarding & Lodging facility will be provided to the admitted candidates at the Institute.
