POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN SPORTS COACHING

(PGDSC)

- Duration - [Two-Semesters]

14.1 DISCIPLINE OFFERED

Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Coaching shall be offered in following games/sports

viz. Athletics, Basketball, Badminton, Football, Handball, Hockey, Judo, Kabaddi,

Volleyball and Wrestling (subject to administrative feasibility).

 DIVISION AND RESERVATION OF SEAT

The minimum number of students required to run the course in a game/sports shall be

ten (10). Reservation of seats shall be as per Govt. of India rules applicable at the time

of admissions.

Note : Seats for Foreign National candidates will be supernumerary.

 ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

A candidate shall be eligible to appear in Entrance Test for Post Graduate Diploma in

Sports Coaching, if he/she has passed graduation degree, conducted by a recognized

University, with at least 45% marks [40% in case of SC/ST candidates and Kashmiri

Migrants & Kashmiri Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in

Kashmir valley] with Inter-University/National level participation in the concerned

game / sport.

OR

Bachelor’s degree from recognized university with participation in international

competition or secured 1st, 2nd& 3rd position in National / Inter-University competition

in sports and games as approved and funded by respective AIU/IOA/MYAS.

Note :

(i) All the candidates appearing as Supplementary / Compartment in qualifying

examinations for the session 2019-20 are eligible to appear in Entrance Test but

their final results must be declared on or before the last date of Registration.

(ii) Candidates should note that no “call letter” for the Entrance Test shall be sent to

them by Post. They should download the admit card Online after filling up the

Online Admission Form.
