Programme Details

It is a 3 years degree programme which prepares students for the emerging field of sports science and physical education and equips the students to start careers as health/ yoga/ fitness instructors, fitness counselors, sports facility planners.

Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam)

Pass in 10+2 or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUPET.

Physical Efficiency Test (LPUPET) will be Conducted to determine the general level of Physical Efficiency. Therefore the applicants need not to undergo any kind of coaching.

Fee details and Allied Issues

Fee for successive semesters will be payable before the end of teaching of preceding semester.

Examination fee (per semester) is Rs. 3000 and examination fee of 1st semester is payable along with fee of 2nd semester or before.

For fee other than programme fee, please refer the head ‘Fee for Additional Services/ Facilities’ of ‘General Guidelines for Admissions’ in Part C of the Prospectus-2021.

'Terms and Conditions for LPU - Scholarship and its different phases' as mentioned in Part B of Prospectus-2021 must be referred.

The term 'Programme fee' as mentioned above, includes - Tuition and Development fees; University Fee for Registration/ Enrolment, Cultural, Sports, Club activities, Co-curricular activities etc.; Fee for Additional Services/ Facilities for Contingency, Outreach, Placement, Medical, Counselor etc. as prescribed by the University.

If the fee of the programme is reduced due to any reason, scholarship amount for all the brackets/ categories will be reduced proportionately i.e. fee after scholarship etc. will not be reduced and will remain same.

For students enrolled under Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) and/ or other such scholarship schemes the University may take full fee directly from the student, and/ or security amount as deemed fit by the university.

For aggregate marks in qualifying exam, refer clause 'Eligibility' under General Guidelines for Admissions etc. in Part C of Prospectus-2021.

Modes of Payment

Demand Draft/ Pay Order in favor of “LOVELY FACULTY OF BUSINESS AND APPLIED ARTS“ payable at JALANDHAR.

Cash can be deposited only at Division of Admissions at the University Campus in Phagwara (Punjab).

Credit Card/ Debit Card (only for online submission of Application).

Requisites and Highlights

Requisites/ Conditions

Procuring atleast one textbook for each course and carry bag in all semesters/ years is compulsory.

Medical Fitness Certificate Compulsory.

Question paper will be in English, Hindi and Punjabi and student can opt to answer questions in any one of the language as per the requirement of the course(s).

The expense on toolkits and uniform (if any) will be borne by the applicant himself/ herself admitted under Post Matric Scholarship.

Students will be required to pay additional expenditure of atleast Rs. 2000 for kits/ dresses/ uniforms of sports activities which includes Track Suit, T-Shirt, Shorts, House T-Shirt and House Shorts.

Due to the rise in the daily cases of Covid-19 in different parts of the country, many state governments have put various restrictions to curb the spread of the virus. Considering the scenario of restricted movement and keeping the focus on the safety of the candidates, LPU extends the option of Online Remotely Proctored LPUNEST exam from home. The remotely proctored exam will be monitored live through various Artificial Intelligence tools and by the invigilators.

In Current Schedule, only the option of Online Remotely Proctored LPUNEST exam from home is available to the applicants. There will be no option of test centre based exam in this schedule.

Applicants are strongly advised not to wait for the last dates as mentioned above and apply as well as book and appear for the exam at the earliest to avoid last month rush.
